Contract Research and Development

Since the 1970’s, ETS has conducted contract research and development for Utilities, Industry and Government. This work has included bench and pilot studies on control equipment and field studies on test methodologies.

Traditional Pilot Units good for long term and full scale bag studies have included, Bag Comparisons, Filtration Performance Testing, Bag Optimization and Gas to Cloth Ratio Selection.

ETS bench scale studies and in-house pilot plant programs have included, Filtration Performance Testing, Filtration Comparison, Membrane Studies and Chemical Impact.

In-Plant studies have included Bag Life, Coating Comparison, Membrane Utilization and Pressure Drop Comparison.

ETS’ approach includes a unique custom designed “Mini Baghouse”. One of the benefits of this approach is that this unit is small and can be installed quickly and economically. The Mini Baghouse can be located on existing stack test platforms utilizing existing stack ports and eliminating the need for shut downs.
